Lingoes- the best free translation software

There are always some friends ask me how to use Google Pinyin. Google Pinyin is really a good IME software, but maybe the Chinese interface is too hard for someone who just start to learn Chinese. Maybe an English version of Google Pinyin is much better, but as Google Pinyin is mainly used by Chinese people, There’s no English version of Google Pinyin, at least now. If you also face such a awkward situation, Lingoes is just the software you need now.

Lingoes is a free translation software. Developed by Kevin and published free of charge, everyone can use this software for free. Although free, the quality is not poor. It is the best translation software I ever used. By adding different dictionaries, you can use lingoes translate not only from Chinese to English or English to Chinese, but also French, German and so on.

So now, you can download lingoes from it’s official website, and the correct dictionaries you need. After installation, you need to do some settings to make lingoes meet your need. For users who want lingoes work with Google Pinyin, here is a screenshot:

lingoes

When you point you mouse to the word in Google Pinyin, Ligoes will translate the word to some different kind of other language, but I can only understand English-_-.

Well, why not try it now? Lingoes will make your learning Chinese an easy way!

I am not quite sure what you mean by “cannot even see Chinese characters in the configuration window”. Maybe your Windows is English version? The default setup of Windows in English version can not show East Asia characters. In this case what you need is adding other language support for Windows, but not more screenshots. Try “Control Panel-Region and Language”, and select “Add support for East Asia characters”, and press OK.
